On Sat., Dec. 28, the courageous and unyielding soldiers of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) achieved a landmark victory in the Desert Axis near Al-Malha, North Darfur State, obliterating a formation of armed mercenary groups. This triumph in the Battle of the Desert serves as a testament to the unconquerable strength, precision, and resolve of the RSF.
In this historic operation, our valiant forces seized a substantial number of combat vehicles, with verification of the exact count underway. In addition, we captured a significant arsenal of weapons and ammunition, further dismantling the enemy’s capabilities. The enemy suffered devastating losses, with more than 300 of their members eliminated. The remaining forces, overwhelmed and defeated, abandoned the battlefield in disgrace.
In the face of this undeniable victory, certain figures linked to armed mercenary groups – notably Jibril Ibrahim Mohammed and Minni Arko Minnawi – have launched a desperate and shameful campaign of disinformation. Their fabricated narratives, intended to serve foreign agendas and fill their own coffers, have been utterly discredited. The truth of our success is irrefutable, documented comprehensively through images and videos from the battlefield. Their attempts at deception only underscore their growing irrelevance and vulnerability.
To our proud people, we vow that this conflict will be the final chapter of war in Sudan. The RSF stands resolute in its commitment to ushering in a new era of peace, justice, and prosperity for all Sudanese, built on the foundations of democracy, inclusivity, equality, and liberation from oppression.
The RSF will continue to share updates on the Battle of the Desert and our unwavering progress toward peace and unity.
